Christmas greetings
I hope that you will be having a special time with your families this year. No matter how the economy goes as long as we can be with those we love and care about, the holidays can still be a great time. We got a very special delivery last night - quite unexpectedly. Many of you know that our one son works at Gitmo and we did not think he would be home this year again, since it is very hard to get off of that island. Well, he showed up last night and Christmas is looking a little brighter. We'll still miss our oldest son not being home for the holidays, but we will just extend them to January.
Although we are in the midst of enjoying all this holiday spirit we are looking ahead to the New Year with great expectation and lots of excitement. I hope you will take a minute and check out the classes that are coming up and also the new blocks-of-the-month. There is lots of excitement about the Civil War Tribute Block-of-the-month from Marcus Brothers. It will go off on time. I was worried since I didn't get any fabric until this week. Now that we have fabric and patterns we will be ready to roll on time. Gina Derksen has the first block ready and it is a beauty. Second block will be Manassas. This time next year we will have all the blocks done and ready for assembly.
Even though it is the end of the year there has been new fabric and yarn still coming in. We just got the rest of the Mushishi yarn from Plymouth. Those of you who do not like tying off and putting in ends should love this yarn. Come feel it and see the beautiful colors. Some new Boku just arrived also. In the fabrics we had a new baby fabric from Moda called Love U that is just darling. Ladybug, Ladybut from Exclusively Quilters also just arrived. This month we got in new batiks from Hoffman and Benartex as well.
We will look forward to showing you all our new stuff after Christmas.
Best Wishes,
Jannette
